Description
100 CATS FOR THE HOLIDAYS: A Winter Celebration of Beloved Breeds and Everyday Cats brings together one hundred cats in a warm, illustrated journey through Christmas, New Year’s, and the quiet winter moments in between.
Fifty of the cats represent recognized breeds, while the other fifty are everyday domestic cats with no claimed pedigree. Each cat receives a full-page portrait accompanied by a facing piece of prose, giving equal attention to distinctive breed characteristics and the familiar behaviors cat owners recognize instantly.
Across the book, Christmas trees, wrapped gifts, winter lights, visiting guests, empty chairs, and peaceful mornings become part of the cats’ world. Carefully arranged holiday rooms are gradually claimed by paws, tails, favorite corners, and the irresistible cardboard box that was supposed to hold the gift.
The animals and their surroundings were imagined and digitally illustrated specifically for the book. Breed information was checked separately against the sources listed in the notes, helping distinguish factual breed characteristics from the creative domestic scenes.
From celebrated pedigreed cats to striped, spotted, fluffy, and completely ordinary companions, 100 CATS FOR THE HOLIDAYS is a celebration of the small personalities that make a home feel lived in during the winter season.
